At Grasshopper Learning Center, we focus on individualized instruction, offer diverse enrichment activities, and are committed to helping each student succeed through engaging, supportive learning opportunities—whether through tutoring, homeschool support, enrichment camps, or outdoor educational experiences.
Our Services
TUTORING
In a relaxed, casual, one-on-one setting, we use an assortment of tools and techniques to help students grasp concepts, understand material, and retain processes and procedures. Our motto is: Believe. Learn. Succeed. We helps students begin to believe in themselves and their abilities to learn new things. Then, with light bulbs flashing, they do! With their new belief and some knowledge they begin to find success. While our goal is academic success, typically imporovement oozes into other areas and aspects of life; confidence grows, fear of failure diminishes, and effort increases.
TEST PREPARATION
Every junior and senior intending to attend college must take the ACT test. Let us help prepare your student. Knowing what to expect, how to study and what to study most definitely decreases stress and increases scores. We do this one-on-one or in groups of 5 or less (studying with a friend fells less like torture). Our experience provides personalized instruction and strategies to help students achieve their best score.
HOMESCHOOL SUPPORT
We partner with homeschool families to provide customized academic support, curriculum guidance, and enrichment opportunities that align with your educational goals. We also host a local homeschool group, offering community, collaboration, and shared learning experiences for families.
SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Our enrichment program camps provides a variety of exciting educational opportunities for students to continue learning and growing over the summer months and throughout the year. From STEM activities to survival skills to arts and crafts to career exploration, there's something for everyone.
SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS
Get students out of the classroom and into our natural environment to try new things, see new sights and have hands-on opportunities in a wide variety of experiences! Grasshopper Learning Center's Educational Field Trips are hands on, cross-curricular themed units designed for children to learn concepts through play, curiosity and engagement. Each unit can be modified to be appropriate for school classes, homeschool coops, or groups. View our brochure for example trips.
VENUE HOSTING
Overlooking the picturesque Sardis Lake, Grasshopper Learning Center offers our space and facilities as your venue for teaching workshops and classes to accommodate your group and planned activities. We are especially suited to farming, gardening, soil health, agriculture, permaculture and other related topics. We help with promotion and advertising, space preparation, and hosting duties during the event.
